CfA is able to offer online psychometric assessments, as an additional tool, to assist in recruitment decision making. We are able to offer both ability tests (numerical, verbal and abstract reasoning) and personality profiles (Jungian based or using Cattell’s personality factors).
It is appropriate for these to be taken between the short-listing meeting and the final panel in order to inform the decision. Time therefore needs to be allowed between the short-listing meeting and the final panel for this. For the ability tests, one week will suffice.
In the case of personality profiles, it is necessary for the test administrator to have time to interview each candidate before the report can be written and this also needs to be built into the timeframe. Ideally a two week period should be allowed for this.
A brief summary of the results will be available to the panel after the final interviews to assist in the decision making.
The person responsible for administering the questionnaire will meet with the panel before the interviews to advise about particular areas which could be investigated.
