The CfA specialist education team works closely with schools across the UK to help them seek out and recruit senior personnel who can make a positive impact on their future. While a central focus is on helping to find Heads and Bursars for independent and maintained schools, we also recruit for other leadership positions including Deputy Heads, Marketing Directors and Development Directors. In recent years, our team of Senior Education Consultants has assisted with a significant number of leadership appointments in a wide range of senior and junior schools including many in membership of HMC, GSA and IAPS (please see our Education Assignment List).
Our five Senior Education Consultants are all former Heads or Bursars themselves and have, between them, wide connections within both the independent and maintained sectors of education. They are in regular contact with many outstanding candidates for senior leadership positions who are now actively seeking their next post and can thus help to fill a vacancy at relatively short notice as and when necessary.
CfA has built a strong reputation for its meticulous and highly personal approach to the entire selection process; our goal is to develop a clear understanding of the nature of the post and the context in which the appointment is being made. By developing this in-depth knowledge, we are able to find the closest match for a particular role.
The education team understands the importance of giving Governing Bodies the best possible support and professional advice in making sensitive senior appointments. These roles will have a long term and major influence on the progress, development and even transformation of a school, and the task of making the very best possible leadership appointments is one of the most important challenges facing every Board of Governors at one stage or another.
